Day of the Corn

For 9 years, Grove City Gardens has donated 5,000 ears of corn to CDT for use at our Tuesday Night Dinners. Volunteers pick, husk, wash, blanch, cool, strip the corn off the cobs, package and freeze 150 gallons of corn in less than 3 hours.

The corn is used for the dinners and as give-away at the Blackfoot Community Pantry. More important, the entire process is an opportunity for people from all faiths to get to know one anther and to share their life stories. Truly, a wonderful event. Come join in the fun next year in mid September!
