MVMS Students Donate to Pantry

The Mountain View Middle School (MVMS) student council organized a fundraiser to provide money needed for the Blackfoot Food Pantry and especially for the Christmas Food Boxes that will be given out prior to the Christmas holiday. Cans and bottles were placed in the classrooms and the students donated pocket change, lunch money, or money from home to fill the containers. The student council gave reminders and encouragement to the students to contribute. Competitions were also held between the grades and classes. Because of the sacrifices and generosity of the students at MVMS the student council was able to donate a check for $520 to the Food Pantry.

The students, along with their advisor Ronie Bishop, met at the Pantry on November 30th to give the check to the pantry leaders. They were then able to walk through the pantry and learn how it operates and what the funds will be used for. This is the 6th year that MVMS has supported the Christmas boxes and their efforts are very much appreciated!
