Throughout the year there are many activities that support CDT and the community it serves. Some of these are sponsored by CDT itself, many others are sponsored by our friends in the community. Here is a listing of some of those events:


March 1 to 20 Harvest for Hunger – a fund raising partnership between Bingham Cooperative/CHS and CDT that provides much needed resources for the food pantry.

AprilCDT Appreciation Dinner – a yearly dinner to honor & thank our generous sponsors and volunteers for their support and hard work.

AprilFood Feud – a contest between Snake River Jr. High and Mountain View Middle School to see who can collect the most food for the pantry. The winners receive not only bragging rights and the traveling trophy for the year, but also a $1000 donation for their school from the Rotary Club.

July BBQ Picnic – The second Tuesday of July boasts our yearly community BBQ Picnic – held at Courthouse Square. It is a fun evening of food, music and fellowship.

September Day of the Corn – A fun day preparing the approximately 5000 ears of corn that is generously donated by Grove City Gardens annually. Volunteers prepare the corn for the freezer – to be used later at the CDT Community Dinners.

October Boy Scout Food Drive – The annual food donations you give to this food drive when the Scouts knock on your door, have served an important place in helping us feed the hungry in our community.

November Tater Trot – A fun run/walk to raise funds for the Christmas Food Boxes. NOTE: Because of Covid-19 concerns, this year’s Tater Trot will be a VIRTUAL event. Check here for registration & information starting in September: CDT Annual Fun Run Registration

November Thanksgiving Dinner – This special community meal is hosted on Thanksgiving day at the Methodist Community Church. Anyone is welcome to share in the food and fellowship at this special holiday meal and reflect on their blessings.

December Christmas Food Boxes – an event where many community volunteers come together to help ensure that all in our community have food to eat each Christmas season.

December Christmas Dinner – A special Tuesday night community dinner that celebrates the joy of the season and comes complete with a visit from Santa for the children.
