Frozen Frisbee Fundraiser

The South Fork Disk Golf Club out of Idaho Falls selected Blackfoot to host their annual winter “Ice Bowl”.  In addition to having a great time playing disk golf, the club uses this event as a fundraiser for local charities.  This year Community Dinner Table (CDT) was selected to receive the canned goods that were donated by club members.  This is their way to thank and give back to the communities in the area.

The event, led by Shawn Cafferty and Dave Oakley, saw 51 participants come to Blackfoot with most of a trailer being filled with the food donations.  All items were taken to the Food Pantry to be used in the weekly food distribution. It turned out to be a predictably cool day, but everyone seemed to have a great time.  No doubt, those attending were looking forward to the blue skies and green grass of summer.

CDT wants to recognize and give a big thanks to the South Fork Disk Golf Club for their generosity and thinking of us here in Blackfoot and Bingham County.  We are eager to have them come back and enjoy the course in July!
