Monday, December 21st cars were lined up in 3 rows at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds as they waited for the distribution of the Christmas food boxes to begin. Because of covid-19 precautions, the distribution was a bit different this year – drive through only. But due to the generosity of so many in our local community, we were able to share much needed food with financially challenged in our community.

Once again, Christmas boxes will be distributed at the Eastern Idaho State Fair Grounds – but due to covid precautions they will be pre-filled boxes (one per address) drive-through fashion.

According to race directors Christian Utley and Randy Shiosaki, while numbers were down this year because the covid pandemic forced us to make this a virtual event, we still had 33 runners register for this fundraiser. We were able to give away some great prizes, net $1700 for the Christmas Food Boxes, and have fun in the process. We would like to thank our running community, our volunteers, and our corporate sponsors for this year’s Tater Trot.

We would like to thank our running community, our volunteers and our corporate sponsors for this year’s Tater Trot. We had 115 runners registered for this year’s event, the weather cooperated and overall it was a great success. Despite morning temperatures starting out in teens, the event went off without a hitch.
