Governor’s Commission Recognizes CDT

On November 13^th, the Community Dinner Table was honored as one of the top 3 “volunteer “organizations” in Idaho.  Serve Idaho, the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, is a division of the Idaho Department of Labor.  Serve Idaho encourages volunteerism and service throughout Idaho.

The Governor and First Lady, Lori Otter hosted the “Brightest Star Awards in Boise Wednesday afternoon.  During the Ceremony, the top three in seven categories were honored – Corporations, Small Businesses, Organizations, Schools, Students, Individuals and Seniors.  In the “organization” category, the Community Dinner Table, Inc. (CDT) was chosen as one of the top 3 volunteer organizations in the State.  

The Brightest Star Awards are based on volunteer contributions.  CDT (in its 6^th season) has stimulated thousands of hours of volunteer time through the years, all of which are contributed by committed, local faith groups and friends – the true honorees.
