Governor’s Commission Recognizes CDT
On November 13th, the Community Dinner Table was honored as one of the top 3 “volunteer “organizations” in Idaho. Serve Idaho, the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, is a division of the Idaho Department of Labor. Serve Idaho encourages volunteerism and service throughout Idaho.
Pictured here (L to R) are Gov. Butch Otter, CDT Board members – Lee Hammett, Ronda Cheatham, Ron Thompson, and 1st Lady Lori Otter. Board members Dale Christiansen, Chris Cannon, Elizabeth Fields, Marilyn Andersen and Reverend Carolyn Bowers could not attend.
The Brightest Star Awards are based on volunteer contributions. CDT (in its 6th season) has stimulated thousands of hours of volunteer time through the years, all of which are contributed by committed, local faith groups and friends – the true honorees.
