Christmas Food Boxes
Through the generous giving of many organizations and individuals, combined with the countless hours of volunteer time, the Community Dinner Table was able to once again organize and provide Christmas Food Boxes to those in need. This benefits both the hungry and those who are having a hard time making ends meet, especially at this time of year. This year over 350 boxes of food were given out to members of the community. The boxes typically contain a turkey, fruit, canned items, breads, potatoes, and other boxed goods. They provide a family a little over 4 meals.
One of the yearly highlights is the fundraising held by the Blackfoot 6th Grade students. This year was the best ever with 150 turkeys donated and over $4,700 in cash given to help pay for food items.
As always, the CDT board wants to thank all those who donated goods, money, or hours to help support our community!
